This is what Anne says about her layout: "This photo is of my 5 children. I ask them to pose for a sibling photo when they are all home, and at the end of the photo session, the girls torment their only brother!"

Diana says this about her layout: "I love taking pictures of Nate at the playground. And his smile in this one is great. So genuine and happy as he plays!"

Chris says this about her layout: "This is a photo that I treasure - it is a wonderful studio photo of my grandmother and her brother as little children (needless to say, this is a copy used for the layout, not the original which is mounted on heavy embossed cardboard)"

Misty says this about her layout: "This is my Absolute FAVORITE photo that I captured from Easter this year.  This is my 5 year old DD showing her Grandma (my Step Mom) the page that she had colored in her new coloring book.  Every time I look at this photo, I remember being this age and my own Grandmother doing similar things...and oh how I loved her dearly.  All I think when I see this, is that I pray that God grants me enough time on this earth to become a Grandma myself some day.  Hence, the title/journaling...
"When I grow up, I want to be a Grandma."

Jolanda says about her layout: "This photo was taken in the summer of 2004. We were camping and my daughter and her friend had sneaked out caus´ they didn´t want to shower and go to bed. My husband secretly took this photo, just before they noticed he was there. They were always full of monkey tricks! I think the photo shows that and that is why it´s my favorite!!"

Erica says this about her layout: "Truly, I have too many favorite photos, so I decided to choose my favorite from the past 6 months…this one was it! It depicts my daughter's personalities so well! They are so awesomely fun!"

Hanneke has this to say about her layout: "This year was Ricks first year in high school and it wasn't always easy for him!! He had to make new friends and really needed to get used to the long bike trip (about 45 minutes) and the new classes (like French, Mathematics, Deutch, ....) and how to learn at home! And now we only have 7 weeks to go until the end of the year! This photo (for me) shows how good he is doing and that he likes his new school and he ajusted so well!! This photo makes me a proud mama!"

As most of you know, blogger was having major issues yesterday, so my apologies to our May guest designer as I wanted to post her introduction yesterday, but couldn't... so, I am doing it today! :):):):):):):):):)

Anne Pennington is our May guest designer! I 'found' this girl a few months ago, and just have fallen in LOVE with her creations! Thanks Anne for being our GDT this month! :):):):) Here is what Anne has to say about herself:

"I grew up in a military family, with lots of opportunity to travel and live 
around Canada and Europe - but I love my life in a small village in Ontario, 
Canada where my kids have been free to roam and play or hang out with their 
friends. I am a mother of five great kids, two still at home and attending 
high school. I am a publisher and have been involved with print design and 
training for years. I believe in life-long learning, and I study part-time 
at Queen’s University. 
 
I have been scrapbooking for 3 years.  A couple of girlfriends from school 
days invited me to scrap with them for a week 3 years ago, and I told them I’d 
rather gouge my eyes out.  They bribed me with wine, and so I came out to 
visit. From that moment on I have been passionate about scrapbooking. 
 
I have met so many awesome new friends through my passions of scrapbooking 
and photography! My favourite scrapbooking subjects are my children and my 
beautiful mother, who passed away in 2009. 
These are a Few of my Favorite Things has been one of my favourite challenge 
blogs since I discovered it a few months back!!! Thanks for always 
challenging me to define myself and my passions in life with your thought
